Drumstick has long been a major figure in the Philadelphia Region. As
the mascot for the ABC Channel 6 and Boscov's Thanksgiving Day Parade
in Philadelphia, Major Drumstick was already a local celebrity.
Unfortunately, Major Drumstick was also flat, 2 dimensional, not available
for animation, and well, kind of ugly. Dynamic Digital Advertising was
hired by ABC 6 to 3D character model an entirely new mascot for print
and video animation.
The new major drumstick was born in October, 2000 and made his on screen
video broadcast premier in November, just in time for the Annual Thanksgiving
Day Parade. He is much more attractive now, and, in 2002, they even built
a float based on his new look. |
